These calls are both voice and video calls. In the past few days, several users have reported receiving calls on WhatsApp from unknown international numbers. However, I have never once matched with anyone who responded like that after wanting my contact information right away after we matched.WhatsApp scams from international numbers seem to be rising. If she actually respects your boundary and responds positively, best of luck. Why waste your time on someone who does not respect your boundary? Just respectfully ask if they are willing to get to know each other for a while before sharing personal contact information or willing to call over voice or zoom call. Also, you do not know who the person is and the crypto is untraceable enough that you can be sure you will never get your money back. There is no law against you giving someone crypto willingly, even if you have been deceived or scammed. That one blogger website was hard to find. ![]() it was hard to believe anything she was saying when she already made the mistake of sending me a photo of herself that did not match her profile picture and it was a mirrored photo of some popular blogger in east Asia. It was a nice story, but I was not buying it. She said she watched him die and he died because of him. Some are creative and share a nice story about how they are supporting their parents, sharing photos of their meals and activities.They respond quickly and engage with you in the conversation until they figure out that you have no interest in getting crypto and there is no way of convincing you to invest in cryptos.They claim to be some kind of financial or crypto guru or know someone who is.They keep giving you contradictory reasons to communicate outside the app.They usually asks you what you are looking for on this app, but not always.Unmatches you on the dating app after they get you out of the dating app, so they do not get reported and continue matching with random guys without issues.I remember because I matched with her (or him) recently.Īlmost every single one whom I matched with and asks for my contact information right away does the following The only thing different was the person in the photo. While it's nice that nobody will get your information through your real number, there are people (men and women) that tend to think you're hiding something or think you're scamming them (I've had people think that I was lying about the things that happened to me on OLD when I give them my fake number). Since I don't change my number on WhatsApp (cause that's a pain in the ass as it is to constantly change it and I have people that I genuinely talk to on it that I know IRL), I just stay away from using WhatsApp until I feel comfortable enough to talk to them on it.īut to be fair, using a fake number is a double-edged sword for OLD. I also use a fake phone number app whenever I want to talk to someone off an OLD app, but I do let them know in advance since I had nasty scenarios happen to me with real people on OLD apps that I refuse to let happen again.
